We are made by the stories we carry. Stories can rest deep in our body/mind. Though we may not be verbalizing them, they are surely being told in the way we are in the world and in the way we feel. Some stories can be unspoken for years, and can feel like they will always be unspeakable.
Some stories feel so familiar we think we will never be able to rewrite their truth. Creative arts approaches help us to locate and work with those stories in a container of metaphor and creativity. We use collage, mask, movement, drama, paint, sand, clay, etc…to work intuitively and creatively in a supportive environment to find new perspectives on old stories, and to discover and transform those stories that may feel hidden and indeed may be unknown to us.
This workshop is suitable for consumers and workers to practice fun and insightful creative art approaches that may be useful in the toolbox of life!

This is exactly what happens in our nervous system. The more often a circuit or a connection between neurons (synapse) is used, the stronger it becomes and the faster information moves across it. Stories are templates for behaviour. We perform stories as actions in the world.
